Job Description: Guardian Community Living, LLC provides award-winning community living support services for residents with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in the Jackson, Tennessee area. We need a District Manager to join our team of professionals. The qualified candidate will provide management leadership and oversight of residential and day program staff to ensure quality support delivery for individuals living in the community.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Supervises day-to-day operations of up to eight (8) sites.
2. Conducts and submits to the Quality Assurance department and Director of Operations completed home inspections according to policy to ensure residences are safe, clean and properly maintained.
3. Conducts announced and unannounced home visits during all shifts, weekdays and weekends.
4. Manages pre-survey activities for assigned homes.
5. Attends ISP meetings and assist in development of measurable ISP outcomes as well as overseeing implementation of all plans.
6. Conducts monthly ISP reviews for each person.
7. Monitors day program activity, day and residential daily notes, medication administration data and required documentation.
8. Implements company policy concerning the hiring, advancement, disciplining and/or termination of employees under his/her supervision.
9. Ensures residential staff receives required training in a timely manner.
10. Conducts staff training as required.
11. Monitors home and staff schedules; verifies accuracy of timesheets.
12. Prepares, compiles and verifies monthly billing data.
13. Manages program and residential budgets to achieve stated goal.
14. Serves on Incident Management and Safety Committees.
15. Meets and communicates with families and other stakeholders on a regular basis.
16. Promotes interoffice teamwork.
17. Develop staffing plans for each site and monitor implementation.
18. Coordinates assigned new home development and tracks transition process.
19. Participates in administrative on call rotation as scheduled.
20. Provides crisis response to needs in assigned district.

1. High school diploma or GED and two years supervisory experience is required. College degree preferred.
2. Must have good verbal skills to communicate with all levels of staff. Must have written skills sufficient to process pertinent information and data.
3. Must have computer skills, (Word, Excel, e-mail) sufficient to work with documents (example: ISPs) and submit information (scheduling, billing, etc.)
4. Local day travel to assigned residential and day program sites is required. Occasional overnight travel may be required.

Critical elements of the District Managers position include strong supervisory skills, personal stability and flexibility,demonstrated within a direct care residential setting. The District Manager must be able to think logically and act rationally in the midst of crisis or emergencies. Strong staff management skills are essential, as the District Manager must hold the respect of staff members while holding them accountable for their actions and to their responsibilities. On-call duty is required. Must have a valid Tennessee Drivers License with clean driving record.
