Position Summary
The House Manager effectively manages the resources associated with assigned home and consumers to ensure an exceedingly positive quality of life and health for assigned individuals. This includes the effective and efficient management of staff; positive internal and external relationships; the provision of meaningful services; a clean, personalized home environment; reliable transportation resources; and appropriate access to healthcare services.

Essential Job Duties
House Manager coordinates residential activities at a specific site including: daily activities for individuals with leisure and recreational components and employment; Works with individual on ISP goals and other related plans; Personally assists residents with bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, etc.; Assists residents with laundry, personal area maintenance, etc.; Prepares meals based on individual dining plans; Transports individuals, assist with shopping, professional visits, etc.; Administers medication in accordance with proper training and procedures; Completes household chores and other duties as needed.

The House Manager supervises residential direct support staff; communicates with Residential Director to ensure continuity and completion of day and residential activities, goals, appointments and other matters; ensures residence is safe, clean and maintained at all times; ensures required documentation, reports, etc. are completed accurately and timely; shops for food and other necessities; serves as first person on call for emergencies, no shows, etc; responsible for shift coverage; disperses individual funds from checking account; keeps Residential Director informed of problems, potential problems and other issues to avert crisis situations.Reports serious incidents, accidents, behavioral episodes and other matters requiring immediate reporting to proper person or authority; and reports maintenance or other physical property needs to Residential Director.

The House Manager must maintain communication capability with Residential Director whenever on duty or on call. Meets and communicates with families and other stakeholders on a regular basis. Provides on-site information, assistance and training on ISP and behavior plans as needed. Approves time off. Turns time sheets in to Guardian office on Monday morning. Responsible for communicating with Training Coordinator to keep all home staff up to date on required training. Will attend training specifically for Home Coordinators provided by GCL.

Qualifications Required
High school diploma or GED. Must be eighteen (18) years or older. Must possess valid Drivers License with a clean driving record. Able to communicate effectively with individuals, other staff and other involved persons. Sufficient written skills to complete required documentation.
