First Assistant/CTOR
Job Responsibilities:
Assists surgeon with progression of case in appropriate and expert manner to facilitate timely completion of
procedure, and possesses all appropriate and applicable surgical knowledge/expertise related to cardiac
surgery. Independently and competently harvests vessel conduit(s) as directed by surgeon following AORN Standards and hospital policies/procedures. Competently harvests vessel through open, bridging or endoscopic
techniques as directed by surgeon. Participates as an integral member of the cardiac team by promoting and demonstrating collaborative team building practices.
Education:
Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
Current Tennessee RN, APN, or APN-Pres license or Compact State License
required. BLS Healthcare Provider required. CNOR, CRNFA, or AORN
Experience
One (1) year operating room experience required.
