Job Description: Guardian Healthcare Providers, Inc., is a unique and trusted staffing solutions company. We're staffing for a brand new facility in Glasgow, KY!

We seek a professional Registered Nurse-Staffing Development Coordinator, with experience in staff development/education and leadership in Long-Term care. This is an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse to bring their educational nursing talent skills to train a new generation of nurse teams at this new facility. Only those with necessary qualifications should apply.

Here's the challenge:

Ensure employees receive compliance training and education necessary to perform their job responsibilities; monitor employee performance and take necessary action for compliance issues
Develop and conduct an orientation program for new, rehired and contract employees; conduct or coordinate new employee job training
Provide hands-on clinical orientation and instruction to licensed and unlicensed personnel
Working with the Director of Nursing, ensure clinical competency of licensed nursing staff through evaluation of skills and annual competency assessment
Ensure that the educational curriculum meets or exceeds state, federal and accreditation requirements; plan and conduct state and federally required in-service programs
Ensure employee health records are maintained in accordance to regulations and guidelines governing long-term care
Ensure stay current with long term care guidelines, make policy changes with implementation for staff education

Minimum skills and experience are:

RN license in good standing with the state and current CPR certification
Previous direct care experience in a long term care - healthcare care environment
The Staff Development Coordinator should have previous supervisory experience
Previous experience in adult education and training preferred
Preferred knowledge of general, rehabilitative and restorative nursing and medical practices, procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines governing long-term healthcare
Good communication and leadership skills
Desire to learn new skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Data entry skills, experience with Microsoft programs, etc. for data entry of employee medical records

Must be able to pass criminal and background drug and health screens.
